Why is hanging up a call from the steering wheel so hard?

Is anyone else frustrated? So many buttons on the steering wheel, but none to end a call?

Yeah, it’s odd Ford missed that. I’d rather have the buttons for exhaust, suspension, and steering over a call end button, though.

I’d prefer it on the display instead of the wheel, like in Range Rover or G-Wagon. Guess I’m just used to Porsche with no buttons :man_shrugging:. I’m having a custom wheel made with shift lights and fewer buttons—always an option.

It bugged me at first too, honestly. But I think you can hit ‘OK’ or one of the arrow buttons to end a call. I just got used to using CarPlay, though—it’s a small issue in a really awesome truck.

If you got the off-road performance model, they prioritize those features. The Platinum and others have the hang-up button. A lot of people buy these for the looks, but it’s actually an off-road beast.

@Zion
If you’re doubting how I use it, check out my earlier post—I took it off-roading the second day I got it. Total blast!

@Zion
I never use cruise control or phone stuff. Just drop it into sport/manual, paddle shift, and go hard.

So… how do you even answer a call?

There’s an answer button.

What if you press the answer button again?

Nothing happens.

Which one is the answer button? Is it the talking head icon? I thought that was for Ford’s version of Siri.

@Sierra
You hit the OK button to answer. The call pops up on the screen, but then it disappears.

On my Platinum, there’s a hang-up button, or you can use the OK button on the console display to end it.

@Jacob
The Platinum doesn’t have the ‘R,’ suspension, or exhaust buttons, though. No open spots left.

Why can’t we hang up from the small screen, then?

No idea. The screen goes back to ‘My View’ after you answer, and the call info drops down. No way to bring it back up to hang up. My Lightning has the phone button, though.

@Sierra
Pretty sure if you press it, it answers. Been a while since I used it, though.

Biggest oversight Ford ever made. Total madness!

Such a ‘first world problem,’ right? Upside is, no one can say you hang up on them.
