Is the 2024 Mustang GT Premium worth it just for the interior?

I wouldn’t buy it because of the interior, and that’s why I didn’t get an S550 either. Most of the ‘leather’ isn’t even real—just vinyl, and it adds unnecessary weight.

Not sure where you got 3400 lbs from; lightest S197 5.0 is around 3650, and my 2019 GT350 is about 3750.

Think this interior will age well? Touchscreens in cars tend to have problems as they get older, especially when warranties run out.

Touchscreens are everywhere now, so avoiding them isn’t easy. If that’s a concern, it might be tough finding a new car.

@Lewis
True, just need to find one that lasts. Not like I can afford one anyway.

The 2018 refresh on the Mustang Premium with the Ecoboost or GT has a solid infotainment setup. I like the new interiors, but the price is hard to justify.

How old are you? I don’t get the obsession with car interiors. The 2024 screens look silly.

It’s all about that seamless tech vibe, but I prefer a good interior design too. The new ones aren’t it.

I was torn between the new model and ended up with a loaded S550 convertible with low miles. It was $21k less than the 2024, and I just couldn’t justify spending that much more for a newer car that didn’t feel much different.

That big tablet screen is the worst part of the new interior.

Honestly, nobody buys a Mustang for the interior. If you like the S650, go for it, but the S550 with the upgraded head unit should be more than enough.

The new Mustang’s interior feels like it lost that classic Mustang vibe. It’s just screens and flat surfaces. They did well with the outside, but inside feels like a missed opportunity.
