Is the 2024 Mustang GT Premium worth it just for the interior?

The 6th gen Mustang (2015-2023) has two radio options: the base 4-inch screen and the nicer Premium 7-inch screen. Sounds like you might be talking about the base version. The Premium screen is a big step up.

@Fordlady
It’s part of the tech package. Even non-Premium models can get the nicer screen with the 301A package.

If you’re going to daily the car, the Premium package is almost a must. The comfort features make a big difference.

Honestly, the new Mustang interior is my least favorite. I had a 2022 GT Premium Performance Pack and now own a 2024 version. The new infotainment system glitches a lot, and it’s frustrating.

I drive a 2020 GT Premium with the digital dash and test drove a 2024 recently. Surprisingly, I think I like the ‘24 better.

The S550 Premium is way better than the S650 in every aspect. Spending this much on a Mustang just for the interior is kinda crazy.

There’s not as big of a gap with the new gen. The older S550s without Premium had really tiny screens, which was a deal breaker for me. I went for a Premium GT because of the features, but you should check both out and see what suits you.

I was also looking for a nice interior and ended up with a 2016 Premium. Check out the 2015+ Premium models—they look great and cost a lot less.

The 2024 isn’t that different from the 2023. Spending $50k just for the upgraded dash seems a bit much.

Honestly, I don’t think any 2024 Mustangs are worth the price. They’re good cars, but the new price tag just isn’t justified. I’d rather buy used and invest the savings into mods or repairs.

Never owned a Mustang but thinking of getting one. The older interiors looked cool but are definitely showing their age. The new screens are a trend most manufacturers are following, but they’re not my favorite. I’m more concerned about the materials—hoping they don’t look too cheap in person.

That screen in the new Mustang is just awful. The older generation is way better inside.

I bought a base GT and added my own leather seats from Katskin. Upgrading the radio yourself is way better than what Ford offers.

I think the new Mustang’s interior is terrible. Why stick a giant iPad on the dash with no real integration?

I wouldn’t buy it because of the interior, and that’s why I didn’t get an S550 either. Most of the ‘leather’ isn’t even real—just vinyl, and it adds unnecessary weight.

Pretty sure everyone knows the seats aren’t real leather.

@Reagan
Just saying people pay extra for vinyl.

Paid for the upgrade and I like it. Rear seats are hardly ever used anyway.

I didn’t buy it for leather, I wanted the infotainment.
