Is the 2024 Mustang GT Premium worth it just for the interior?

Looking at getting a newer Mustang but I’m not a fan of the tiny radios in the older models. The touchscreen setup in the 2024s looks really cool, but I’m struggling with the idea of spending $45k+ just for a fancy interior. Do the older models make up for the lack of tech in other ways, or is the 2024 worth the extra cash?

The 2018+ Premium Plus trim still looks great compared to the 2024 models.

These new cars are so overpriced. Sure, they look nice, but the price compared to the cost of making them is ridiculous.

“We didn’t integrate the screens into the dash for cost savings!” “…And we raised the price” lol

@Bailey
Wasn’t saying they saved money by doing that, just pointing out the cost vs price. I get that features add to the cost, but it still feels like we’re paying way too much.

Totally agree, wasn’t arguing with you. Just funny how they do things like this and still hike the prices.

@Bailey
Most people seem to be out to argue these days :sweat_smile:

True that! Can’t blame anyone for assuming lol.

@Bailey
Sorry if I came off strong, just used to seeing arguments on here.

No worries at all! Totally get it.

Yeah, and honestly, the quality isn’t what it used to be.

@Roselon
I actually told a Ford salesperson I won’t buy new because of the poor quality. It’s sad because I’ve always been a Ford person.

My grandma’s whole family swore by Ford or Chevy back in the day. Now everything feels cheap and plastic.

Definitely not worth it. Get a 2018+ GT Premium with the 401A package. Heated and cooled seats are a must. You can always upgrade the radio yourself if needed.

The screens in the ‘24 aren’t well integrated into the interior. It just doesn’t look good.

Most cars with these big displays have the same problem. It’s not a good look.

Can you explain what you mean by poorly integrated? Just curious.

Personally, I think the S550’s interior has a more appealing design than the current models.

The 2024s have some nice stuff like selectable drive modes, but I think the 2018-2023 models look better overall. The screens on the new ones are just odd.

Selectable drive modes are just a gimmick. Do people even use them?
