So the wrench light popped up on my 2020 Ford Edge, only 29,000 miles on it. No codes are showing up, but it’s still under warranty. Decided to take it to the dealership to get it checked out. Anyone else had this issue?
Try resetting it or pulling the codes yourself. A lot of auto parts stores will do this for free.

I used a code reader and nothing came up. The wrench light showed up on the app, so I figured better safe than sorry and went to the dealership this morning.
Wrench lights don’t always throw codes. What kind of car do you have? Sometimes there are service bulletins that can fix these issues.

It’s a 2020 Ford Edge, only 29,000 miles.
@BugsBunny
Just looked it up—no service bulletins for that model. If you’ve got connected data turned on, the dealer can check intermittent codes that get sent to Ford servers. Good idea to get it checked out, especially if it’s still under warranty.
@Cameron
Yeah, I’m at the dealership right now getting it looked at.

Smart move, even if it’s a pain. At least the warranty should cover it.

Fingers crossed it’s nothing major. This light came on last month, but nothing showed up on the scanner at O’Reilly’s. It came on again yesterday but turned off when I restarted the car. Drives fine though.
@BugsBunny
Hopefully they figure it out. If the dealership is decent, they should be able to get to the bottom of it.

Turns out it was the push start button all along! It’s been sticky for a while, but I never thought it’d cause this.
@BugsBunny
Wow, that’s a new one! Glad it’s fixed.
Probably needs the AWD module reprogrammed or replaced. We see that a lot.

Turns out it was just the start button sticking!
