Who else just joined the Raptor crew?

Just got my 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor! My old truck is on the left, a 2024 Ford F-150 Lariat. No regrets at all!

Wait, your old truck is the same year? That’s crazy!

Both of those are amazing trucks. Welcome to the Raptor family! Greetings from up north in Whitehorse, Yukon. Winter is already here!

Thanks! Sending greetings back from northern Alberta! Not looking forward to those -50s this year, though.

That picture is awesome!

I appreciate it!

Picking up a Raptor in fresh snow is next level cool.

Congrats on the new truck! Did you plan to pick it up right after a snowfall? Does it snow a lot where you are?

Thanks! It actually just happened to snow over the weekend. And yes, we get snow like clockwork every year from November through April, sometimes into May. I’m up in Alberta, and our winters are rough. Last year, we hit temperatures as low as -48C (-54F). Working off-season in the oil fields as a Wildland firefighter supervisor during those months can be brutal.

Good luck with the new truck!

That’s a gorgeous truck. But what about the depreciation hit? Still, I love it!

Thanks! Honestly, the depreciation isn’t as bad as you’d think. Plus, with my job in the oil fields, I’ll make up for the cost before the year ends.

Congratulations! How long did you have the Lariat, and what made you decide to switch to the Raptor?

Thank you! I had the Lariat for less than three months. The main reason was that prices are set to go up next year, especially here in Canada. Plus, the 2025 Raptors will lose features like the door keypad buttons, which will cost around $450 to reinstall at the dealer. I’ve always wanted a Raptor, and when the deal made sense, I couldn’t pass it up!

Are those 35s or 37s on your Raptor?

I feel bad for your underbody in that snow!
