Which truck is the most reliable and long-lasting?

I am planning to trade in my 3.7L 2013 Mustang and am considering either the 3.5L or 5.0L F-150 Lariat trims. I’m interested in model years 2015 and up, with a preference for 2018 and later.

If you’re after extra muscle, consider the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost found in the Raptor and Limited trims

The Toyota Tacoma is known for its exceptional reliability and longevity. It consistently ranks high in reliability ratings from sources like RepairPal, Consumer Reports, and J.D. Power. If you’re looking for a dependable and long-lasting truck, the Tacoma is a top choice.

Mid to late 90s Chevy/GMC trucks seem to have impressive longevity. A friend of mine has one that his dad bought new and later passed down to him when we were in high school. Despite being a 2-wheel drive, he still took it off-road to reach remote camping and hunting spots. It’s still running strong with over 500k miles on it, and both the engine and transmission are original.

That said, I’d still agree with what others are suggesting: go with a Toyota.Mid to late 90s Chevy/GMC trucks seem to have impressive longevity.
