I’m gonna stir things up and say the Probe.
The '93 Probe GT was actually faster than a '93 Mustang GT in almost every way… only top speed went to the Mustang.

Nah, Mustang was faster 0-60, quarter mile, and top speed. I’ve owned almost a dozen Fox Mustangs since the late '90s, and no, the Probe GT wasn’t faster.
This is pretty subjective, but for most people, the switch from the 3V to the Coyote engine was a big deal. The 3V had too much competition making more horsepower for the same price, but the Coyote really stepped things up. Look at how far it’s come in power and reliability.
The only one I can judge is the S550… it’s the only one I’ve ever owned.
Mustang II deserves some respect.

Come on, guys… the only real answer is the first generation. It changed the car industry and set records in sales. Every generation after that has seen a drop in numbers.
