Which design do you prefer, the MK8 or the 8.5?

Personally, I prefer the 8.

I prefer MK8. It looks more aggressive, clean, and stylish. The 8.5 looks wobbly and bland, especially with that odd-shaped grill. The headlight design change on the MK8 also stands out.

That’s all great, but… have you seen the parking situation? It’s pretty awful.

Haha, you’re right. Both of them aren’t great, but I guess the parking spots aren’t much better either.

The 8.5 looks like it came out of a jelly mold.

I like the design that can park within the lines.

I’m probably biased, but I like the 8 more.

MK8 looks better, especially the headlights.

I prefer the 8.5 because it reminds me more of the MK7.

Not sure which one is which, but I prefer the bigger grille. Given the way car designs are going, I think that might be the 8.5.

The 8.5 looks amazing, in my opinion.

I’m a rally fan, and I haven’t seen a rally car of the 8.5. The 8 looks sharper and more aggressive. It’s a shame we didn’t get them in the States.

I don’t like the grille on the facelift (right) and how the number plate is mounted. The 8 just looks more aggressive, and I prefer the shape of the grille.

I think placing the logo on the grille and making the grille bigger height-wise was a mistake.

The 8.5 looks like a Hyundai.
