You’re right, but the SuperCab also has 4 doors. The back doors on the SuperCab open in a “suicide” style, but they still count as doors. The SuperCrew has 4 full-size doors.
Thanks. I have a SuperCrew and ordered after market factory floor mats from WeatherTech. They have always provided me with great mats. However, these mats do not fit in the back. The box says SuperCrew/SuperCab, but they do not fit. Especially with the factory sub.
I thought I was going crazy and had ordered the wrong mats.
The way I see it, the SuperCrew has full-size back seats, while the SuperCab has smaller, cramped seats in the back. The rear doors on the SuperCab are also smaller. If you get claustrophobic, you won’t like riding in the back of a SuperCab—it’s tight back there.
I have a SuperCab because I hardly ever have people in the back. It’s mostly for storing stuff I don’t want to leave in the bed. Not a big deal—I’ve had my truck broken into before, and they stole things left out in the bed. Go figure.
Huh? The SuperCab’s back seats are actually pretty roomy compared to other trucks. I have as much space back there as in some of the crew cab trucks I’ve seen and ridden in.
Since you can fit more than 3 people, you have a supercab, or extended cab. The Crewcabs had 4 fullsize doors and the regular cabs could only seat up to 3 people.
I have been in my back seats, they aren’t bad at all. I can fit full size adults back there no problem. Now my Ranger, that was a different story for an extra cab!
Oh yeah, in my 2000 Ranger Extended Cab, I remember trying to take my teenage sister and her friends places. It was so funny because those two girls (and by “little,” I mean in age, not size, thanks to all the hormones in food these days) were just crammed back there. Every bump or pothole, they’d either bang their heads on the rear glass (really hard!) or almost fall into each other’s laps!
