What should I know about the 1982 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback?

Hey, there’s a guy in my area selling a 1982 Mustang GT Hatchback for $3500. It’s super clean, and he takes it to car shows. The thing is, it has 180,000 miles on it. I’m wondering if that’s a fair price or if it’s actually a great deal.

That sounds like a sweet deal! I’d go for it if everything checks out. :ok_hand:

Man, that car looks clean as hell. :sunglasses:

I love that it’s brown and has T-tops. That’s a sharp look.

Honestly, I’d buy it just for the nostalgia. My first car in the mid-80s was an ‘82 GT, too. Mine had T-tops and louvers, but it was black with a red interior. I later added some cool mesh wheels and reinforced the floor pan. I do notice something though, the air cleaner is missing a couple of connectors for the cold air intake tubes. Something to check. :eyes:

I’m not an expert, but even I know that looks like a solid deal.

Yeah, that’s what I thought too. I just didn’t want to miss something that would make it too good to be true.

$3500 for a clean, mostly untouched T-top car? That’s a steal! If you don’t grab it, you’re crazy.

Definitely unique, for sure. :raised_hands:

Man, I have a soft spot for four-eyed foxes.

I’d snag that for the T-tops alone, honestly. :fire:

If you’ve got the money, go for it! Sounds like a great buy.

That’s probably the nicest ‘82 I’ve seen around.
