What should I do about my damaged car?

I’ve had my car for 2 years but only started driving it 5 months ago. This morning, I saw that someone ripped off my diffuser and spoiler extension. At first, I thought it might’ve been someone stepping on it accidentally, but looking closer, it seems intentional.

A couple of months ago, someone hit the side of my car, another person rear-ended it slightly and damaged the rear left fender, and somehow my spoiler was loosened.

I’m 17, struggling to even afford fuel, and this car means a lot to me. Selling it or not driving isn’t really an option. What can I do now?

Just pull it off completely and keep driving.

Is it possible to replace just that part?

Yeah, you can.

This made me think of my cousin’s shoe falling apart :joy:

Looks like the back fell off. That sucks.

You could try super glue for a quick fix.

Did the S badge come with the car or did someone put it on?

That looks like a Corolla S badge.

It’s actually a Ford badge from the Fiesta.

I think it was added later. Those tail lights look standard, like on my base model Fiesta.

You’re right! It’s a 2016+ model with the newer tail lights that have three stripes.

Yep, from the factory, the S would line up with the Zetec. Try removing it if it’s damaged. Also, maybe think about getting a dash cam or parking in front of CCTV. Sounds like someone might be after your parts. It happens a lot, unfortunately. If you’re struggling with fuel costs, you could try a black box for cheaper insurance and use the savings for fuel.

@Lauren
I agree. I’ve been on a black box for two years now, and it’s worth it for the savings. Some are pretty lenient too. Avoid Ticker though—they cancelled mine for going 5 mph over the limit.

I bought the car like this (I’m in the UK), so I think the previous owner added it. I’ve only seen them on older Zetec S models, not the black editions.

@Zachary
That’s cool! Mine’s a 2015 Zetec S Black Edition Fiesta. It didn’t come with any badges except for the Zetec S ones. Over here, they call them ST-line models, but the Black Edition was released before that name started being used.

@Mason
I looked into this when I got mine—a Fiesta Sport Mk6 pre-facelift (2011). It’s a Mk7 in the UK, I think. Mine didn’t come with anything except the standard badges. I didn’t want to add ST-line because it’s not really one. A car person might spot that it’s different, though.

You really need a dash cam. Even a cheap one could help. I got a 3-way camera for $50 that covers the front, back, and interior. It’s not the best quality, but it works for insurance. Speaking of insurance, does your policy cover theft or vandalism? You might want to talk to your parents or whoever handles the insurance.

You’re driving a Fiesta? Not much anyone can do for you.
