Someone linked me the part—it’s only $40, so not bad. I was thinking it might’ve been for an air chuck too.

Could be! If the previous owner had an onboard air compressor, that would make sense.
Looks like it might’ve been for an electrical connector, maybe for a snowplow. You’d probably see marks where the plow mount was attached if that’s the case.

Fair point lol. I’ve seen similar connectors for tow bars, but nobody’s putting a tow bar on an F-250. Check under the frame—maybe it was for a big push bar or something?
