Has anyone here gone to a dealership to fix the cam phasers? How much did it set you back? I have a 2018 model, and so far it’s been fine, but seeing posts in this forum has me a little worried. Should I be preparing for this?
From what I’ve seen, it’s anywhere between $4000 and $6000 depending on where you go.
That’s way too much for a repair, honestly.
I had the same concerns when I was shopping for a truck. I ended up getting a Gen-1 instead. The design on these later models is a real headache.
Dealerships usually quote at least $4000, but it can go higher depending on the dealer.
Does the fix actually solve the problem for good? Or is it just kicking the can down the road for another 50,000 miles?

The newer parts are supposed to fix it permanently. But if the repair was done before the updated design, it might still fail later.
