What’s the most mileage you’d consider for a used Mustang? I’ve been eyeing some from 2013-2014, but they usually have around 80-90k miles. Would you guys go for a Mustang or a sports car with that kind of mileage or avoid it? This would be my second car, so if anyone has experience with a Mustang that has over 80k miles, is that a risky choice
I have a car with 110,000 miles, and it feels brand new. It really depends on how the previous owner treated it
I saw a 2014 model with 89,000 miles, a clean title, and no accidents. They’re asking $12,995 for a convertible. I know convertibles get some hate, but I want one. Is this price reasonable, or is it too much for that mileage
That sounds like a solid deal
Oh by the way, it’s a V6. Does that change things for this deal
Not really a good deal anymore
Good price. Just make sure to have it checked by a reliable shop first. 89k miles is nothing for these cars
Oh you might want to ask someone else. I wouldn’t buy a base model sports car that has similar power to some minivans. You should check KBB for a better idea of its worth
I got a V6 convertible from 2014 with 50,000 miles for $18,000 CAD, which was a bit steep, but the market is crazy right now. It was driven by an older guy, kept in great shape, so go for it. A V6 convertible is perfect for cruising on weekends
The average mileage is around 15,000 miles per year, so a ten-year-old car with almost 100,000 miles is actually below average
Honestly, I think how well the car was maintained matters more. I tend to drive my cars pretty hard, but I keep up with oil changes and repairs right away. My sister drives carefully, but she neglects maintenance, which causes her more expensive repairs
I agree with that
