What are the standout features of the Steeda builds in the 10th anniversary of Need for Speed?
When we got contacted by Dreamworks and Ford for this project, we had a tight deadline to create seven Mustangs for the movie. We had just 10 weeks to finish all seven cars! The fenders were all handmade using custom metal fabrication, and the front and rear fascias were crafted by automotive clay artists collaborating with Ford’s design team before being produced in fiberglass. Some of the cars were built from regular Mustang GTs, while others used GT500 models. But after the paint and modifications, they looked identical on the outside, especially with those custom 22-inch Forgiato wheels. A great example of the durability of the Steeda components is the one car that took on a huge stunt in Detroit. After that scene, the Steeda suspension parts showed no damage and were still in perfect working condition.
I loved this Mustang, great job on it
Got any completed shots of the Grabber Blue one? I only remember seeing the silver with blue stripes.
This is actually my dream car. I hope to build a replica someday.
We hope you do too! When you get around to it, be sure to tag us on social media because we’d love to see it!
Is the paint still ivory silver, or is it custom?
I hate that this kit was never mass-produced because it looks so good.
Steeda is awesome!
We really appreciate that!
Hey Steeda, Can you build me one?
It’s the car that got me hooked on Mustangs!
