What Are the Current Prices for Mustangs in the Market?

Are those prices for Mustangs really what we’re seeing right now?

Yeah, unfortunately, it’s true. I wanted a convertible 5.0 but ended up with a V6 convertible because the 5.0s in my area were still going for 30k and up. I do love my 6, though, and I’m happy to have my dream car from childhood. :face_exhaling:

You don’t seem that happy about it. Cars as a hobby are getting really pricey, which is kind of discouraging, to be honest.

I’m actually really glad about my choice. You can’t always get what you want in life. I still get tons of compliments and the classic question of “Is it a 5.0?” :joy::joy:

As for the rising costs in this hobby, I totally agree. Sure, technology has advanced and we have to pay for those new features, but I didn’t expect to hand over an extra 50k to the dealer for a car.

The V6 is still a solid engine, especially with some mods it sounds pretty good.

Absolutely, it surprised me. Everyone talks about how slow V6s are, but it actually has plenty of power for my daily driving. After I test drove it and was impressed, I decided to go for it. Plus, I have an Escalade if I need that V8 feel. I might even get the 93 mpt tune before the year ends.

That V6 has power similar to the 3V V8. The 3.7 really delivers some impressive performance.

Honestly, if you remember the non-turbo Lima-powered Fox bodies, you realize there really aren’t slow Mustangs in the 21st century. I love that V8s are still around, but even a V6 or EcoBoost has more power than I need for daily driving. They’re all fun in their own way.

It feels like you need to make over 100k a year just to enjoy your car and modify it while keeping up with bills.

I bought my 2020 GT brand new for 34k with 0% financing for 72 months because of Covid deals.

Same here! I got my Race Red GT for $34,294 and 0% for 72 months back in April 2020.

I picked up a 2019 Bullitt in January 2020 for $43,037, which was $8,300 off MSRP. I’ve just hit 18,000 miles and KBB says it’s still worth more than I paid, which seems wild, but I have no plans to sell it.

That’s interesting about the color choice. I got a 2019 Bullitt with 24k miles in 2022 for around 40k. It was loaded, and it’s held its value well with the used car price surge.

It makes sense that the green color might not appeal to everyone in Hawaii. I’ve had so many people ask if my Dark Highland Green is a wrap because you don’t see it often.
