I recently upgraded my 2016 Ford Escape to an aftermarket CarPlay system. Everything works great now, though I did blow a fuse initially, which was a bit of a challenge to track down. Overall, it’s solid, and the OEM backup camera works well, but the image is a bit pixelated. I suspect it’s because the camera was originally designed for the 4-inch screen, and now it’s being displayed on the larger 8-inch screen.
If anyone has experienced this or has any suggestions on improving the image quality, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
