Hey everyone, I’m thinking about taking a 65-inch TV on a road trip. It fits nicely with the backseats folded down. Has anyone done this before? Any advice on how to secure it properly?
I learned the hard way that a 65" TV won’t fit in a two-door car easily.

My 60" TV fit in my two-door last week

I managed to get a 65" TV in the back of my two-door, but I had to remove the box and place it diagonally on top of some blankets.

I think part of my problem was my tailgate table takes up an inch or so when folded. I was also worried about pushing too hard to close the gate.
I was able to fit a 75" TV in my four-door a couple of weeks ago. Found a YouTube video that confirmed it would fit before I tried it out lol
Worked at Best Buy for 6 years. PSA: Don’t lay any TV larger than 43" flat unless it’s for wall mounting. The TV can bend and warp from its own weight, plus driving over bumps can damage it. This also voids the warranty.

Stores offer free box truck shipping. It might take a week longer, but you’ll have better warranty and support.

I wonder how big of a TV you can fit with the roof off so it stays upright. Maybe with the tailgate open and some tie-downs. Now I have to convince my wife we need a new TV for testing purposes.

I think 55 inches might work with a two-door. Not sure about 65 inches with a four-door because of the support beams.

When I was 17 and working, I helped customers move TVs and sound systems. Most people just watched me work.
I fit a 75" TV once.
Funny enough, I have to pick up a 65" TV this weekend and I’m wondering if it will fit.

I put a 72" butcher block countertop in the back, sticking out the window.
And an 86" TV in the bed of a new Ranger.

Dang. Are you building a to-go kitchen?

Same TV does NOT fit in a Wrangler.
