Used the magic dock for the first time today. I really wish all charging stations had this feature. Every time I go on a road trip, I stress about forgetting my adapter and ending up stuck waiting at a charging station while my family gives me the side-eye.
Anyone got a good link for a reliable adapter? I just got my truck and don’t want to end up with a bad one.

A2Z Typhoon, Lectron Vortex, or the official Ford adapter (which is also made by Lectron).
I have the A2Z and it’s worked great for me every time.
@Gale
I’d avoid the Ford adapter unless you like waiting forever to get one. The other brands ship in just a few days.

Forever? Don’t exaggerate… It’ll only take like 10 months.
@Esther
Well… what’s 10 months from now?

December!

So… almost next year!
If someone really wants to wait that long instead of getting one in a few days, that’s on them!
@Gale
Lectron adapter works great, no issues.
@Gale
Appreciate it!

This will give you both adapters you might need. Tesla to CCS1 and Tesla to J1772. One is for super chargers, the latter for destination chargers.

I have an A2Z adapter for sale, $165 shipped. Brand new, still in the box.

Check Aliexpress. I bought mine for $176, works great. Just checked, now it’s $90.17. WUFEN 250K NACS to CCS1 if anyone is interested.
Do you need an app for this? And do all Teslas accept it?

It only works on V3 and V4 Superchargers.
You’ll also need the Tesla app to charge.

You don’t need the Tesla app unless you sign up for the membership. You can also use the Ford app to charge.
@scott1
Where do you start a Tesla charge in the Ford app? Is it under the BlueOval network?

Sorry could only upload 1 pic per comment. Ive always used the ford app for charging. Only time I haven’t is when I use the local Florida FPL chargers which have their own app.
Also if you are in Florida I recommend the FPL stations all 250-350kw and .30 per kwh charge no subscription needed
