When I started my car and shifted from park to drive, I got a “Transmission Fault Service Now” message. I turned the car off for a while, and when I turned it back on, the message was gone. I tried again the next morning, and the message didn’t appear.
I’m wondering if this could be similar to a maintenance reminder, like the ones for oil changes, even though I just had my transmission fluid changed last month. I’ve also read that it might be related to the battery needing replacement, but I’m not sure if that’s connected.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could it just be a temporary glitch, or is there something more I should be concerned about? Any advice would be appreciated!
I had something super similar happen to me. Got that “Transmission Fault” message, freaked out a bit, then it just disappeared the next time I started the car. I think it might be a glitch, especially if it hasn’t come back. But keep an eye on it just in case. If it shows up again, maybe have it checked out. Could be nothing, could be a sign, but I wouldn’t stress too much yet.
