Nah, don’t do it. That’s an easy way to burn $10K and pay taxes again.

Exactly, you get it!
So, you just don’t like having money, huh?

I carpooled and took local trains for years, even buses in college, just to save up. Could’ve gone for a Corolla or Golf R but decided to wait. Now I’m wondering if I should’ve held out a little longer for the Dark Horse Mustang.
@Hollis
You’re basically paying $18K more for about 20 extra horsepower, a fancier look, and some performance upgrades like a stiffer suspension. You could get a GT Premium fully loaded and save a few grand. Plus, if you want a quick power boost, just remove the carbon filters in the intake!
@BugsBunny
That intake thing doesn’t work the same way with the S650; it’s mostly tuning for more horsepower.
@Hollis
You’d take a big hit trading in a car that new.
@Hollis
Just no, bro.
Not worth it in my opinion. But it’s your money!

I hear you. But this could be my last chance at a ‘fun car’… Better to take a small loss now than an even bigger one in a few years?
@Hollis
Sounds like you’ve already talked yourself into it.
@Hollis
If that’s the case, maybe wait for the GT500? Go all out with the best?

GT500’s out of my budget, and they only make those in automatic.

Have you thought about the GT350? It’s manual, more powerful, and has a classic feel.
@Warren
And don’t forget the Mach 1! It’s got a great transmission and doesn’t have the issues with that high-revving GT350 engine.
@Warren
Agreed, Mach 1 would be my choice too.

Why does this forum always downvote folks who just want a manual?
@Hollis
There’s always going to be a cooler model around the corner, man. If you do this, you’ll just feel the same when the 2026 models hit with slight upgrades. Just enjoy the GT for what it is.
@Hollis
Let’s be honest, every ‘fun’ car feels like our last one… until the next comes along. If you just like the looks, maybe focus on performance mods instead of a full trade-in. It’ll cost less, and you won’t feel the sting of dealership loss.
