Steering wheel height adjustment lever Problem

I need to remove the cover from the steering column, but the steering wheel height adjustment lever is in the way. Does anyone know how to get it off without breaking it?

Hey, try lowering the steering wheel as much as possible first. That should give you more room to remove the cover.

There’s usually a small lever or button hidden underneath the steering wheel height adjustment lever.

Once you find it, press or pull it while adjusting the lever. This should release the lever, allowing you to remove the cover.

If you’re still having trouble, consult your owner’s manual for specific instructions or consult a mechanic.

Here’s a general method for removing the steering wheel height adjustment lever:

  1. Find the Release Mechanism: Look for a small release button or tab located underneath or behind the lever.
  2. Engage the Release: Gently press the release button or tab while pulling the lever away from the steering column.
  3. Adjust the Lever: Once the release is engaged, you should be able to slide the lever up or down to adjust or remove it.

If you have trouble locating the release mechanism or are unsure of the steps, refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for detailed instructions on removing the steering wheel height adjustment lever.
