60k miles. No rust worth concern over, plus I plan on getting the underbody coated before I sell. New fuel pump, spark plugs, clean battery, just rebuilt the transmission. Interior is near perfect, red leather with no tears. I am hoping to sit on it a couple years then sell for 15k. Do you think that’s possible?
I bought it for 7.5k, then put another 3k of work into it. Not driven in the winter and stored in a garage.
Don’t sell it. One in similar condition sold for $3,000 nearby. Hold on to it—its value is likely to either remain steady or increase as newer models become scarce.
I have a 1988 Ranger and recently replaced the 2.0L engine with a 302. I took it for a test drive around the block this weekend and plan to start using it for my commute next week.
I had an '87 model which I gave to my son’s best friend for free, so I’m not sure how much to sell it for. I now have a 2001 model that I’m working on as a project in memory of my father, who passed away on June 6, 2024, so I didn’t need the '87 anymore.
Wow, I’m in Wisconsin and this is my dream car! After the Kia Boyz stole my car twice, I’m now just using a scooter. I’m hoping to find a Ranger, but my budget is only $5,000. What a beauty though!
That truck is a classic, and from the photos, it seems to be in excellent condition. If you needed to quickly sell it for a few thousand dollars, it wouldn’t be difficult. However, for someone interested in buying, the price would be $10,000.
Great vehicle! I’d recommend listing it for the amount you paid plus the cost of any improvements, and maybe add an extra 20% to see what offers you get. Good luck!
