Should I keep my truck tinted this dark or change it?

I recently got a 24-inch Avalanche. A week after buying it, I went for ceramic tint at 20% all around. Now the truck looks completely blacked out, and I can’t decide if it’s too much and ends up looking bad. I’m thinking about removing the driver and passenger tints and going lighter. What do you all think?

Did you tint the windshield too? I went with 5% on the sides and 50% on the front, but if I had to do it again, I’d probably choose something lighter.

Yeah, I did the windshield too, but it’s just a clear tint. Not sure about the exact percentage. They added a visor strip on top, and I like that part.

20% doesn’t look bad at all. A lot of trucks here in the Southwest have that. Now, 5% can look a bit too much, but 20% still lets in enough light during the day. I think it’s a good balance.

I’ve got the same truck and did the same thing, even the sunroof. I didn’t tint the front windshield, though. If I could redo it, I’d go with 35% on the front two windows, but overall, it looks sharp and helps with the heat here in Texas.

Yeah, it’s definitely great for keeping the heat out. I’m just unsure about how it looks.

In my opinion, it looks clean and not trashy at all. You’ve got nothing to worry about.

I’ve got a 23-inch Avalanche and did the same all-around tint. I love it, but I live in South Florida, so it’s almost a must for the sun. At the end of the day, it’s your truck. Go with whatever makes you happy.

I went with 20% everywhere except the windshield, which I kept at 70%. It works for me.

I’ve got 20% on the front windows, 75% on the rear ones, and 75% on the windshield. I think it’s just fine.

20% is perfectly fine. Anything darker gets tricky to see at night. Maybe wait until summer to decide if you want to change it.
