Seeking Reviews - Is the Ford Edge reliable?

I want to buy a Ford Edge, but I have seen so many bad reviews online about it. Some say Ford vehicles have at least one major problem after 100,000 miles. Can you guys share your experiences of using this car?

I have a 2017 Edge Titanium and have had it for about 9 months with no issues so far. Generally, most brands will be reliable within the first 3 years. I have the 3.5 V6, and I recommend sticking with it. It’s been around for a long time, and many last-generation Edges with this engine have reached 200k miles without major problems. I would personally avoid EcoBoost models, as they are relatively new and the only major recall for the Edge involved the EcoBoost 4-cylinder. I also think the vehicle is too heavy for a 4-cylinder engine. As for the technology, Ford’s electronics have improved over time and are now among the best they’ve been. The updates have been more about refinement than complete overhauls, which should enhance reliability. Good luck!

Ford Edge is a fantastic SUV that often gets a bad rap. Sure, like any car, it can have its issues, but many of those complaints are exaggerated or based on isolated cases.

I’ve personally owned an Edge and loved it. It’s spacious, comfortable, and handles surprisingly well.

While it’s true that some Ford models have had their share of problems, the Edge has generally been reliable.

Of course, proper maintenance is key, but if you’re looking for a versatile SUV with a decent amount of tech and comfort, the Edge is definitely worth a test drive.
