Leaves are gone…winter's coming soon…who’s ready for it?

Looks like a Police Interceptor .

Anyone else already put their winter tires on? Loving the look of those steel rims .

Yep, those wheels have that cop car look

How’s the EV range holding up in winter with your Energi? Just got mine recently and noticed a drop already

I got mine in July, haven’t charged too often because of a recall but from what I see, using the heater drops the range to around 23-28 km, compared to about 37-40 km without it.

@Josephine
Mine’s an '18, so no recall issue for me, but yeah, the range gets cut in half with the heater on. Still getting around 110 MPG, way better than my old truck .

Same here, without plugging it in as much, it’s miles better than my old Crown Vic! But yeah, the heater is just an electric one, not a heat pump, so while it’s hot enough even on low, it’s a power drain

@Josephine
It always cracks me up when I remote start, sounds like a space heater going off! But hey, heats up in a minute.

Exactly, way better than the usual heaters in gas/hybrid cars .

If it’s not too cold or if it’s a short drive, I just skip the heat in the cabin. On longer drives, I let the engine warm up first and save the battery for stop-and-go traffic

How did you set those wheels up?

Just regular 17" steel rims (need 17" because 16" won’t fit the Energi). You also need lug nuts (#611-207) so the caps hold on, and some old Crown Vic center caps if you have them. Might need to adjust the cap tabs a bit for them to fit right

@Josephine
Looks super clean. I’ve got some 16” wheels from another Fusion as backups…think the caps would fit those?

Yes, the caps will fit as long as the lug pattern matches

Just need to use the right lug nuts I mentioned and they’ll fit no problem

Where do you even get those cop wheels?

They’re just basic aftermarket 17" steel rims (16" won’t fit the Energi). Get lug nuts (#611-207) for the caps and some Crown Vic caps if you can find them. You might have to tweak the cap tabs for a good fit.

@Josephine
It looks great, love the rugged look of steel wheels with the caps

The leaves aren’t gone—they’re all over my yard .
