Issues with my 2017 Ford Focus after clutch work

Hey folks, I’m having some trouble with my 2017 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost after changing the clutch master cylinder. The car acts weird when starting and keeps asking for engine service, even though I just cleared it. There’s one error code that won’t go away: P08B9 clutch pedal position correlation (sensor 1 and 2). I’ve checked all the connections and everything seems fine. Any ideas?

Why would you do that? He’s too young to drive anyway.

Maybe trade it in for a Bronco Sport. Lowering it to car height seems unnecessary.

I think a Sasquatch Bronco is the right height for car seats, but it’s been a while since mine were that age. I had a lowered Mustang back then. Now THAT was a chore!

Very helpful. Appreciate it.

It’s true. Best option might be to get a Bronco Sport or a Subaru.

Neither of those can go without a roof. Maybe get an adjustable air suspension?

Yeah, lowering it sounds like a bad idea. Check out aftermarket side steps instead. Maybe get a rotating car seat too.

You want to lower it by 6 or 9 inches? That’s pretty crazy, lol.

Is it a Sasquatch model?

Sell it and buy a car that’s the right height for you.

I got you. You need this: Ford Bronco Air Suspension System | Black Ops Auto Works

Rockslide Engineering powered steps are awesome. My wife has them on her Sasquatch Bronco. We’re leaving the hospital in the morning with our newborn.

Maybe try AMP Research PowerSteps. They come out when you open the door and go back in when you close it.

Accuair makes a kit that lets you lower the height by about 4 inches. It’s pricey. Smaller wheels and tires will mess up your gearing and lower your top speed. I think 16-inch wheels are the smallest you can go. If you have the Sasquatch package, you could switch to standard. Excited to see what you come up with!

I’ve had my Bronco for two kids now. It’s so much easier to get them in compared to our old Mercedes. No issues with them at all.

I have a 2023 base model for reference.

The Explorer is even easier for loading. We swapped from the Mercedes to the Explorer and haven’t looked back. Love that vehicle too.

Agree. I used to have to get my kids in and out of a VW Golf R and it was really tough, especially buckling in a toddler. Now, putting the kids in our 4-door Big Bend is such a breeze. My husband and I are both 5’8", so no bending over. I love it.
