Issues with my 2017 Ford Focus after clutch change

Hey folks, I’m having some trouble with my 2017 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost after I changed the clutch master cylinder. The car acts funny when starting and keeps asking for engine service, even though I’ve just cleared it. There’s one error code that won’t clear: P08B9 clutch pedal position correlation (sensor 1 and 2). I’ve checked all the wires and everything seems good. Any ideas?

Why would you change that? It’s too old to drive anyway.

Maybe check the brake switch, it could be faulty.

I checked the brake switch, it’s working fine.

Hmm, then maybe the sensors are off. Try replacing them.

Did you bleed the clutch after replacing the master cylinder?

Yes, I bled it again, but no air came out. Clutch works fine.

Maybe there’s still air in the lines. Try bleeding it once more.

Use a professional OBD scanner to check for more codes.

I don’t have one, but I’ll see if I can borrow from a friend.

It might be the clutch pedal position sensors. They could need calibration or replacement.

Any tips on how to calibrate them?

You might need a special tool or software. Check with a dealership.
