Thinking of buying this car. What do you think about the price?
There’s no info about the car except the price. Can you share more details?

Sorry about that. It’s the plug-in hybrid with the premium package, a moonroof, and a towing package.
@Ace
What does the premium package include? In Europe, packages vary a lot. Driver assistance usually includes adaptive cruise and lane-keeping. Tech packages might have better headlights. Is it something like that?
The price looks like Canadian dollars, but you’re in Florida. Is this for a 2024 model? If so, maybe they’re trying to clear inventory. Does Florida offer any rebates for plug-in hybrids?

It’s in US dollars. A friend said my power company might have rebates, but I haven’t checked yet. A dealer near me told me to grab this because they can’t match the price.
@Ace
Sometimes dealers advertise with every possible discount factored in. When you go, they explain you don’t qualify for some of them. Have you checked if the online price matches what they’re offering you in person?
@Emlyn
Exactly! They’ll list all the rebates like military, student, trade-ins, etc. You should ask them why the final price is different and get them to break it down for you.
In Dallas, I got an offer for the base 2024 model at $30k on the road.

That’s a solid deal. I paid about the same a few weeks ago for the base model. Traded in a Model Y for a PHEV and couldn’t be happier.
I’m about to go ahead with this one. Thoughts?

How are they applying the tax credit?

They deducted it from the price.

Ask for a detailed breakdown. You don’t want them sneaking in extra charges.
Does the $8915 savings include the EV tax credit, or is it just rebates? Ford is offering $8,000-$9,250 in rebates now, but some require trade-ins. If your savings don’t include the tax credit, it might be a fair deal.
@PixelPioneer
I don’t qualify for all the rebates. They said I can choose 2.9% financing with Ford or higher discounts but a higher interest rate, like 6% or 7%, with another bank.
This price seems high.

I’m from Canada. Back in June, I paid $35,600 CAD plus tax for a Ford Escape PHEV. Sunroof and hitch were extra, but I recently saw a 2025 model with a sunroof for $36,500 CAD. With USD being stronger, your quote seems high.
I paid $40k last October for a fully loaded PHEV, then got a $3750 tax credit. You could probably find a better deal now. That $580 admin fee is nonsense.
