Frunk has drain holes, so you can load it with ice and drinks. I used it as a cooler at my cousin’s wedding!
Is the frunk insulated like a cooler?
Nope, but it still keeps things cool.

Does it qualify for any EV credits or rebates?
What’s the big deal about the heat pump? Does it help range or is it just for warming up faster?

Mostly range improvement.

Heat pumps are efficient because they move heat instead of creating it, which saves power for driving.
@Jordan
Thanks! That’s helpful.

Using a heat pump means less battery use, so it’s good for range.
$2,500 for BlueCruise is fair. If Tesla’s FSD was that cheap, I’d consider it, but $8,000 is too much.

I’ve had BlueCruise for a while, and I wouldn’t pay $2,500. For me, it’s okay on highways but limited elsewhere.

The new option is $500/year or $50/month, which is better for occasional road-trippers.

The Mach-E’s interior feels like it’s trying to be a Tesla but doesn’t quite get there. I like that GM’s interiors feel more traditional but updated.
Charging port in the front takes up two spaces at Tesla chargers. Not ideal!

Placement is random among EVs, each has reasons for where the port goes.
Just rode in one. Felt a bit cheap like other Fords I’ve been in.

Quality is similar across many brands now. You want real quality, try a Lexus.

Compared to some German brands, I find my Mach-E’s interior just as nice or even better.
Frunks make sense in trucks. Not sure why we need them in SUVs with plenty of trunk space.

In crossovers, they’re useful for keeping stuff isolated from the cabin.

We had a blast using it as a cooler for tailgating. Ran a projector, and kept drinks in the frunk!
