Ford confirms it… this system is on all these models and works even when the car’s running – everyone’s talking about it

I just read that Ford is adding a karaoke feature to some of their cars, and I’m curious if anyone has tried it yet? Apparently, you can sing along to your favorite songs while driving, and it shows the lyrics on the screen. It’s available in the F-150 Lightning for now, but it’s coming to the Mustang Mach-E soon. Seems like a fun idea for road trips! How do you all feel about this? Would you actually use it?

Yeah, I saw that! Seems kinda fun but also like a distraction for drivers. Is it only for passengers? Wonder how it actually works.

From what I read, it’s mostly meant for passengers. The lyrics don’t show up on the driver’s screen while the car is moving, so it should keep things safe.

That’s good to know. It would be cool if they had some sort of voice control for the driver too, but I get why they’d limit it.

I mean, it sounds fun for road trips, especially with friends or family. I’d totally use it on long drives! But I wonder how good the scoring system is for the singing part :joy:

Same here! I’d definitely embarrass myself trying to sing along, but it would make the trip fly by. The scoring system could add some fun competition on long drives.

@Kendall
Haha right? I hope it’s not too harsh on those of us who can’t carry a tune :joy:

I feel like this could either be really fun or really annoying depending on who you’re driving with. Imagine being stuck in a car with someone who thinks they’re a professional singer lol

LOL, yeah… I can see that happening. Definitely a ‘choose your car companions wisely’ type of feature :joy:

I read somewhere that it’s only available on the F-150 Lightning for now, but Ford is going to roll it out to the Mustang Mach-E soon. Anyone know when that’s happening? Would love to try it in my Mach-E.

@Ellington
Yeah, I think Ford confirmed that it’s coming to the Mach-E in the near future. No exact date, but probably within the next few months.

I wonder if other car manufacturers are going to start adding stuff like this. Seems like a fun trend, but I could also see it getting out of hand with too many distractions in the car.

Probably! I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more entertainment features like this. I mean, we’ve already got screens and voice assistants, so why not karaoke and games too?
