Just a heads-up! This dealership is shady as anything! They added $2250 to my purchase agreement without a word about it. They called it “Ford rental care” and just slipped it into the contract. $2250 is a huge amount to add without telling the customer! Super shady business. Avoid Ford AutoNation Wolfchase if you can.
Had a similar experience… salesman tried giving me a $2000 discount, then came back and said, “My boss really wants this sold, so here’s $4000 off.” Turns out the website already had it listed $4000 off, so they were trying to make me pay $2000 more than the online price.
Honestly, every AutoNation dealership I’ve dealt with has been terrible. They’re everywhere, but I’d avoid them like the plague.
Hope you didn’t pay it! That would’ve been a dealbreaker for me. I’d look for another dealership in a heartbeat.
I had an awful experience with AutoNation Ford in WBL, Minnesota.
The finance guys were so sleazy it felt like I was on a hidden camera show. They tried to pit me and my wife against each other, telling her I didn’t know what I was talking about and that she’d be doing me a favor by adding all the extra warranties so “I wouldn’t have to worry.”
When I turned them down, the guy even started trash-talking me to other employees: “Can you believe this guy? I gave him a warranty discount, and he STILL won’t take it!” Unbelievable.
*I know you shouldn’t reward shady dealerships with business, but we needed a specific vehicle ASAP after my wife’s car was totaled. Unfortunately, this was the only place that had it.
@Zacy
I deal with their parts department all the time, and they’re fantastic. Shame their sales team doesn’t keep up that standard.

You’re right, I should’ve mentioned that! I boycotted them for years after our buying experience, but when I needed a part ASAP, they were the only ones who had it. Their system was slow, and the guy told me it was on the house. Only $5, but still, it was a nice gesture.
Go back to the dealership and tell them you didn’t agree to that charge. Talk to the GM, not the finance team.
If there’s a Sonic Automotive Ford dealer nearby, try them out. They have no-haggle pricing and non-commission sales. Best deal I ever got!
