Getting stuck sucks, but that’s how you figure out your limits.
My first time, I went alone. Saw some water and thought, why not? I made it 15 feet before realising it was a mistake. Tried 4H, no lockers, but then used both lockers and just sank deeper. Luckily, I reversed and gunned it out.
Getting stuck is a rite of passage. Sounds like you were prepared with straps, which is great. My instructor at Off Roadeo shared stories about unprepared drivers, and those lessons stuck with me.
Big Bend without SAS or lockers? I’ve avoided mud for this exact reason. It hasn’t happened to me yet, but I’m not taking any chances, haha.
