F250 Gas or Diesel

I’m considering ordering a ‘22 F250 4x4. I tow a 20’ car hauler trailer about four times a week, averaging 160 miles per day. The diesel option costs $10,000 more upfront and has higher fuel costs than the gas version. While I’d likely get 6 to 8 miles per gallon better fuel economy with the diesel, I’m concerned about the long-term value given the additional maintenance costs. Is it really worth it in the long run?

Towing a lot? Diesel F250 for the power and potentially lower fuel cost per mile in the long run, despite the higher upfront price. Gas might be better if you tow less often and want to save money upfront, but the diesel could last longer. Test drive both and research used prices to see if the diesel holds its value better.
