For the past few weeks, I’ve been seeing an Entertainment Unavailable sign at the bottom left corner of my 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium. My phone is connected, but I can’t play any music. I’ve tried updating the software, but nothing works. I also tried disconnecting the battery, waiting a bit, and reconnecting, but still no luck. Not sure what’s going on. Anyone here have a fix?
Try this. It’s a reset for the unit. Might work, might not.
Press and hold the Seek Up (>>) button while pressing and holding the Radio Power button.

I tried that too. It does the scheduled maintenance, but it doesn’t fix the issue unfortunately.
@Caelan
Well, looks like you may need to replace the APIM module (I think that’s the one, someone correct me if I’m wrong). You should be able to find one at a junkyard for a decent price. Or, you could upgrade to Sync 3 for about $600. Either way, you’ll need Forscan to program it.
@Wyatt
Ah shoot, that’s what I was afraid of. Is Sync 3 worth it though?

Visually, I’d say yes. I’ve heard it’s worth it.

Okay, I’ll think about upgrading. Thanks for the input.

Hell yeah, it’s worth it. You’ll also get Android Auto / Apple CarPlay.

Okay, that’s definitely convincing! I’ll need to look into that.

Another thing to check: I noticed you have the Sony system, and I think those have a separate amp from the radio. Maybe that’s where your issue is coming from? I’m not too sure about it though.
Unplug the battery and replug it, that should work. You’re welcome.

I’ve tried that a few times, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Dang, if that doesn’t fix it, nothing will. Looks like it’s toast.
Did you check if there’s a fuse for any audio-related components in the car?

Where do I check that?

Although, when I reset the system, the speakers seem to be working.

No clue lol, maybe under the steering column?
This happened to my 2016 too. I tried disconnecting the battery, checking the fuse (it was fine), and resetting the Sync system. I think we need to replace the audio control module.

The ACM? Not the APIM?
