Just purchased 2015 Lariat with 3.5 ecoboost for towing. Setting up information to be displayed I noticed one of the choices is DTE (distance to empty) calculation with a choice of normal driving or towing. When I select towing the miles by the fuel gauge actually go higher. This makes no sense since fuel economy will be lower towing. Anyone else have this issue?

Towing relies on the recorded mileage during towing. When a trailer is disconnected, the truck must often be manually informed that it is no longer towing. If the previous owner neglected to do this, it results in a collection of inaccurate towing mileage data, which disrupts the calculation process.
