Are Ford Fiestas reliable?

I’m thinking about buying a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE hatchback with a manual transmission and 64,784 miles on it. Do you guys have any advice or input concerning this model?

The automatic models had significant transmission issues. They used a standard transmission that was computer-controlled to function as an automatic. I believe Ford offered a lifetime warranty to address this problem. Additionally, rust was a major issue in my area. :red_car::wrench:

70,000 miles were put on a 2012 that I owned for six years before selling it in for my ranger. That car was great; it was unexpectedly good in the snow and quite dependable. It also happened rather quickly.

They’re not exactly dependable, but they’re also not the worst things in the world. If it’s a stick, I’d say go for it because the automatic tranny starts were the big shit starters in those.

provided that it is a manual. Even so, though. You’re looking for wise counsel. If you are worried about reliability, get a little Honda or Toyota.

purchased a new, 4-door, 5-speed manual Fiesta S vehicle in 2013. After 49,000 kilometers and nine years, it has remained largely dependable. On average, 32 mpg. The OEM radio system has been the only true problem. After seven years, it developed problems and had to be replaced with an aftermarket stereo. Driving around town is a blast. I’m not familiar with lengthy car trips. I keep a special pair of mounted snow tires for the winters in Nebraska. It functions well. Not even a hint of rust. I predict that the mechanical differences between a 2013 and a 2019 are minimal. I wish you luck in making your choice.
