I have a 2016 Ford Escape, which I believe has the Sync 3 system. I usually use Android phones, and while I can make calls and send texts through the Sync screen, I need to plug my phone in via USB to access maps and most apps. My Android phone is a Samsung S23 Plus.
Recently, my mom upgraded her phone and gave me her old iPhone XR. I want to use it as a sort of iPod for music in my car, but I have no experience using an iPhone in the car. Does the iPhone need to be plugged in via USB to play music or use Apple Maps, or can it do those things wirelessly? Any insights would be helpful!
