Anyone Here Compared the Outer Banks to the Black Diamond?

You’re comparing two different beasts. Outer Banks is like a mall crawler, while Black Diamond is built more for off-road.

What are you saying? All Bronco trims are pretty capable off-road, aren’t they?

Yeah, you’re right. But the Outer Banks has car-like tires and no lockers, so it’s more street-oriented. You can always mod it, though.

I was in the same spot, trying to choose between the Outer Banks and Black Diamond. After test driving both, I went with the Outer Banks soft top with the high/lux package. Super happy with my decision.

I’m thinking about getting the Outer Banks for comfort and a nice ride on long road trips. Is this the better choice? Or would the Black Diamond be just as comfortable, but with better off-road capabilities? I’m more into comfort and street driving. Thanks for any advice.

We chose the Outer Banks with Sasquatch. We’re not hardcore off-roaders, but it does great on service roads and snow. Nice balance between luxury and off-road ability.

No matter which model, remember a Bronco isn’t the smoothest ride out there. It can be pretty loud inside, especially since it’s a convertible. Don’t get me wrong, I love my 2-door Black Diamond, but I use another car for long road trips when I’m not going off-road.

I picked the Outer Banks over the Black Diamond because I wanted the signature LED lighting and the 4.27 rear locker.
