I recently bought a 2010 Ford Escape V6 AWD about a month ago. It was running fine until I had to replace the VVT solenoid. After that, it ran fine until a couple of days ago when it started misfiring at idle, but it ran okay when I gave it gas. Now, it’s showing error codes P0016, P0011, and P0302. Anyone know what’s going on or had something similar?
Start with the spark plugs, it could also be the wires. If you don’t know when they were last changed, it’s a good idea to replace them anyway.
The codes are related to timing, and it’s had timing issues before.

Ah, I didn’t check the codes. I would recommend verifying if the timing is set properly. If it’s off, it could explain why the car is misfiring.
Sounds like a stretched timing chain or a failed chain tensioner to me.
