Am I doing this wrong or is it just my car 😭

Tried doing some donuts in my car today but it didn’t go as planned. Wondering if it’s me or the car.

If it’s a front-wheel drive car, try doing it in reverse with the traction control turned off.

Reverse donuts with front-wheel drive cars just aren’t that exciting, to be honest.

If you don’t have all-wheel drive, you’re missing out. These cars are so much more fun with AWD.

I almost bought an AWD version but missed out by a day. It even had the 2.0L engine instead of the 1.5L I ended up with. I’ll never stop regretting it.

You really need an AWD Fusion for proper donuts. Or just throw it in reverse and give it another shot.

Doing this with the engine light on? You’re living dangerously, my guy.

Front-wheel drive donuts are best done in reverse, just saying.

It’s really tough to pull off a proper donut without a handbrake these days.

Agreed 100%

Using your handbrake like that too often can wear it out quickly. They’re not really designed for this kind of use.

@Shay
You’re right, but back in the early 2000s, I didn’t care. Being young and reckless has its moments.

This has to be the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen all year.

So far. The year’s just started. Plenty of time for more nonsense.

Yeah, my mirror seems to be broken too. I see myself doing something similar.

Didn’t someone just drive into a hospital recently? That’s gotta rank higher than failing at snow donuts in a Fusion.

Reverse donuts are your best bet with a front-wheel drive car. And like someone else said, turn off the traction control.

Love the blow-off valve sound. If you’re trying to slide a FWD car, reverse is the way to go. Just watch out for poles nearby.

Thanks, man. I couldn’t drift it, but if it were an open field, I’d have had more fun sliding around.

This isn’t going to work how you think. You need rear-wheel drive for proper donuts.
