I bought a new 2024 Ranger with just 78 miles on it, and it completely broke down in only 6 days and 327 miles. The “low oil pressure” and “check engine” lights came on, followed by the engine rattling. I had it towed, and the dealership found a “catastrophic engine failure” with metal debris everywhere.
I lost faith in the vehicle and sought a return or trade, but neither the dealership nor Ford Corporate offered a solution. Instead, they replaced the engine, which took a month, with no explanation for the initial failure. Despite multiple calls and letters, Ford showed no concern for my inconvenience or the loss of value.
Now, I’m left with a truck I can’t trust and a company that doesn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend buying a Ford to anyone, and I won’t be purchasing another one myself.
Hey!
I saw your post about the 2024 Ford Ranger, and I get where you’re coming from. It’s frustrating when a vehicle doesn’t meet expectations, especially with all the hype around it.
From what I’ve read, the 2024 Ranger has had mixed reviews. Some people appreciate the new design and the off-road capabilities, especially with the Raptor version.
However, there are definitely some concerns about the performance and certain features. For instance, the brake system and the overall driving experience have left some folks scratching their heads.
It’s always a bummer when a vehicle doesn’t live up to the standards we hope for. Have you had a chance to test drive it yourself, or are you going off reviews and feedback from others? Sometimes, personal experience can be quite different from what we read online.
Let’s hope Ford takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
