Hi everyone, I’m dealing with an overheating issue on my 2014 Ford Escape 1.6L. I noticed a bit of steam and some hissing coming from a specific area (see attached pic). The fan seems to be working fine. Can anyone help identify this area? Is the thermostat located there, or could it be a bad hose? Any advice would be appreciated!
Sorry to hear about your Ford. I had a similar issue with my 2013 Escape, and it turned out to be a bad hose near the thermostat. That hissing and steam might be the same thing. Definitely check the hoses first—they can crack over time. If the fan’s good, that’s one less thing to worry about.
