I have a 4.6L Triton engine and want to change the spark plugs, but I’m worried after reading about it. A shop quoted me $266 to do it. Are they really that hard to replace? Can I do it myself? I’ve read some scary stories. Do the 4.6L engine use regular plugs or the longer ones?

For a 2001 Ford F-150 4.6L Triton, the recommended spark plugs are Motorcraft SP-493 or equivalent. Make sure to gap them at 0.052-0.056 inches for optimal performance.
