Sharing this pic of my old Ford… who else still has their first one? I know these cars have stories!
Those rims look awesome, what are they?

Pretty sure they’re EL XR6 rims. Used to have EF ‘sharkfin’ 15-inch rims before. Always wanted those XE BBS wire spoked wheels, but they’re super rare and pricey.
I’ve still got my dad’s 1965 Galaxie… he bought it new. Needs some work, but hoping to get it running so my kids can drive it to their homecoming. It’s been in the family forever.

That’s a classic! Love the big Fords from that era. Hope you get it going… those cars are a dream.
Had a 1992 Ford Escort Pony… ended up using it for tailgating after chopping the top off. Drove it to the junkyard around 2008. Good times though.
My first Ford was a 2002 Explorer V8 4x4… and it’s been a nightmare. Needed a ton of work over the last few years, transmission, power steering, brakes, you name it. Now the fuel pump’s gone too. Taking it to the junkyard with just 130k miles.
@Amara
My friend’s got the same year Explorer and it’s always breaking down. He calls it the Exploder
First Ford was a 1990 Mustang GT. Drove it for 10 years and 150,000 miles before selling it to my dad. Ended up getting another 1991 GT later on that was in mint condition but never drove it much… sold it eventually.
@Easton
Must’ve been a sweet ride, especially since it was in such good shape. But yeah, if it’s just sitting, better to pass it on.
Always surprises me how popular Ford is outside the US.

Yeah, Ford’s huge here in Australia. The Ranger is always a top seller. Back in the day, the Falcon was super popular too.
Still got my first Ford, but it’s all in pieces. Don’t have a place to put it together right now.

You planning to restore it? Got a spot where you can work on it?

Yeah, it’s all torn down in my grandparents’ barn, which is now a rental. I can get to it, but no space to work on it.
@Jessica
What kind of car is it?
It’s a 1972 F100 Ranger… started as a mint green straight-six but ended up a rusty mess. Been working on it bit by bit, swapping parts, but money and time have been tight.
@Jessica
Sounds like a fun project. The mods you’ve done sound great… hope you get to finish it. My Falcon’s built from a bunch of different cars too.

Nice! Falcons are cool since so many parts are interchangeable with Mustangs.
@Jessica
Yeah, it’s super helpful, especially for restoring older models. They’re a lot smaller than the later Falcons though.
