What’s your go-to drive mode and why do you pick it? How do you decide when to change it?
I’ve mostly kept mine in Engage. What makes you switch?

I stick with Unbridled because I like having the option to take it easy or floor it when I need to without messing with settings.

You can still floor it in Whisper mode, though.
@Ash
It doesn’t feel the same. The pickup just isn’t as quick, you can definitely tell.

I’d be interested to see them side by side. I honestly don’t notice much difference when I hit it.

I stopped using Unbridled all the time and managed to get 10k more miles out of my second set of tires lol.
@Tracy
I’ve had my Mach E for three years and always leave it in Unbridled. Still rocking the original tires. How you drive makes a bigger difference than the mode.

That’s true. It just takes a lot more effort not to wear out the tires in Unbridled since it gives way more power with just a little pedal.

I’m at 36k and still on the original tires. Just got them rotated and they still look good.

I use Unbridled mostly because I like the stronger braking with one-pedal driving. The extra quickness is just a bonus.
I go with Whisper. It has the same regen and max acceleration as the others, but the regen is just smoother.

Same here. Feels better on the tires too.

When you say max regen, do you mean the total energy recovery rate? I don’t think Whisper has the same regen as Unbridled. Unbridled feels more aggressive to me.
@Aspen
I’ve checked it with my OBDII and it’s identical in all modes. You can one-pedal drive in any mode without a problem. If regen was lower, Whisper wouldn’t handle one-pedal driving as well as it does.
@Gianna
That makes sense. Maybe the mechanical brakes are kicking in more during Whisper mode. Can you see the energy recovered through your data readout?

Yeah, data shows the same amount of energy going back to the battery (in kW) no matter the mode.
I use Unbridled. I’m not too fussed about the speed boost, but I like how the wheel feels stiffer and the braking’s a bit more intense in one-pedal mode.

I’d stick with Engage if I could just get that wheel stiffness from Unbridled.
I use Unbridled just because I like the little orange speed streaks on the screen. They’re kinda cool.
I go with Whisper when it’s wet or snowy. Engage for everything else. Tried Unbridled once just to surprise my passengers, but they didn’t really notice.
