What exactly is a lead frame and what is its function in an F-150?

So, my F-150 seems to be stuck in gear, and I found a YouTube video where a guy had the exact same problem. He mentioned that Ford told him it was something called a ‘lead frame.’

Does anyone here know what a lead frame is and what it does? Also, if anyone else has had this issue and found a solution, I’d really appreciate some insight.

Thanks!

The lead frame is a component within the transmission valve body. It’s responsible for directing hydraulic pressure to various clutch packs and solenoids, which ultimately control the shifting of gears in the transmission.

However, before jumping to conclusions, it’s essential to diagnose the exact cause of the problem with your F-150’s transmission.
