What are the best tips for getting a good deal on a Mustang right now? It seems like now is the perfect time to buy one for a fair price?

A few months back, it was nearly impossible to find new 2024 Mustangs below MSRP at dealerships. Now they’re just sitting around for months. It looks like Ford hit the brakes on production since there are so many on lots that dealers can’t sell. I even got an email from Ford saying they’re delaying Mustang production due to “supply chain issues.” I’ve been waiting for my build for ages. I took my chances and snagged a great deal on a 401A premium package with an active exhaust, nite pony package, and an automatic transmission for an out-the-door price of exactly $54k. The sticker price was $54,525. This could have easily been a deal over $61k a few months ago. If you’re looking to buy soon, now is the time to negotiate since we buyers have all the leverage to get prices really low. I highly recommend doing some research if you’re seriously considering a Mustang.

Congrats on the deal but wow that’s over 7% on a new car. You should have looked around more.

That’s just how interest rates are now. I have an 800 credit score, and the best I could find was 7% too. Just so you know, this was back in July 2023. It seems like interest rates are improving a bit

Ford is offering 5.9% themselves. It sounds like he got a raw deal

Or maybe he doesn’t have the credit to secure that lower interest rate

He mentioned earlier that he financed with Ford for less, which was quoted

Any source for that?

You can just Google Ford Mustang financing deals. It’s 5.9% for 72 months on a premium GT coupe and 3.9% for 60 months.
