What are some good DIY exhaust silencer ideas for Mustangs? I just installed long tubes a couple of weeks ago, and my neighbors are not happy about the noise 
That setup looks amazing, but I totally understand. I just got a 2012 with MBRP axle backs and BBR headers, and it sounds pretty sick for a V6, but my parents aren’t thrilled

If your neighbors are upset about 9 am, they might want to rethink their priorities. I mean, 8 am or even 7 am is more reasonable, but come on, I leave for work at 5:45, so mine can’t be that loud. Luckily, the neighbor above my garage works night shifts, so it’s cool.
I get that, but if you’re leaving at 3:30 AM every day, your neighbors would probably have my head if I had a loud car.

Honestly, no offense to your neighbors, but they should be able to deal with a little noise at 9 am.

Right? 9 am is not even that early for most people.

Exactly, 9 am is basically breakfast time for kids. Most of them are already up by 5 or 6 am for school anyway.

I was just thinking that. It’s almost summer, and getting up early is not my favorite.

As someone who works 5 pm to 5 am, I can confirm it’s not just about them. I have to deal with neighbors mowing their lawns at 10 am, and I definitely don’t want to hear someone cold-start a straight-piped Mustang too.
Maybe try to avoid being a statistical outlier, then.

I installed my headers right before spring, so all the kids are still asleep at 9. The HOA even told me that starting my car is “abrupt, intimidating, and disruptive”

That’s just in the morning, though. You’re supposed to be up cooking breakfast for someone, right? It’s basically an alarm clock vibe with that roar
9 am is definitely past the “let’s not wake the neighbors” time. This guy who lived down the street had a loud truck and left for work at 4:30 AM. I seriously thought about getting back at him.
